The church has sacrificed much at the altars of science, education and psychology. While these disciplines found their roots within the church, each discipline was led astray by individuals that were willing to compromise the Word of God and literally hijacked by individuals that were purposefully seeking a naturalistic worldview that did not include God.

Consequently, the prevailing naturalistic worldview is that humans are just animals (physical beings, not spiritual) and preborn babies are not human at all. And the vehicle by which this worldview was propagated was the discipline of education (including many Christian universities).

The fact is that while the Bible is not a manual on science, because it is the Word of God, any science that contradicts it is erroneous, we have the science wrong. And Scripture makes it very clear that man (unlike animals) was created in the image of God. (The discipline of psychology has long abandoned this spiritual and moral aspect of the human psyche.)

The good news is (in the words of the Apostle Paul); "The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4).
